Master Planning

Master Planning is the process where a neighborhood works through its flow of resources to create a community plan to see dreams become reality.  Assets evaluated and built upon include housing, education, commercial real estate, etc.

In 2000, Charis worked with the South Atlanta Civic League to create the neighborhood’s master plan for housing.  The plan called for 120 Affordable Homes and 200 or more Workforce homes.  Charis and Habitat for Humanity committed to develop 60 affordable homes each.  Charis committed to facilitate the construction of workforce homes as well.
